What you will study..?

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)Course.the course of study conducted by the Academy of Aeronautical Engineering (AAE) of the Asian Aviation Centre (AAC) leading to the award of the Certificate of Recognition in confirmation of having successfully completed the CAASL Approved basic training course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, covering Unpressurised Airframes and Piston Engines, for purposes of consideration for entry to the CAASL Basic License examination in these categories

The Approved Course is in modular format and is intended to provide theoretical and practical  exposure to aircraft maintenance subjects in the Mechanical category, Category B1.2 of CAASL Aviation Safety Notice (ASN) No. 083.

The course also provides options for students to undertake training in Turbine Engines Pressurized Airframes, and Helicopter as an Acceptable Course of training for purposes of consideration for entry to the CAASL Basic License examination in these categories.

After completing of  Aircraft Maintenance Engineering  (AME)  have an opportunity to a direct entry to the  final year of  a BSc (Hons) Aircraft Engineering Degree

Guaranteed two years of the degree exempted on production of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Course Certificate (Successfully completed theoretical modules)

Candidates with other relevant Engineering Qualifications will be regarded based on the discretion of the university

The bridging programme will guide the students to acquire the necessary academic, practical &writing skills required to face the aptitude test held by Kingston University in order to directly enter the final year of the BSc ( Hons ) in Aircraft Engineering Degree.)

Entry requirements

Minimum of 6 passes at GCE O/Levels including Mathematics, Science and English Credit or an equal qualification

Duration

Three (03) years Six (06) month full time ( first 2 ½ years  at AAC  in Sri Lanka and final year at Kingston University UK
