AACTS – The newest unitunder the AAC created with the intention of providing the expertise knowledge and skills in the technical maintenance of aircraft as well as physical resources available in-house to outside aviation companies on request. In the past AACTS has provided its human resources capability in assembling of aircraft to few air operators upon their request. Other facilities usually provided by AACTS include aircraft hangar facilities and battery charging facilities for Ni-Cd and Lead Acid aircraft batteries. AACTS planes to more streamline the provision of aircraft maintenance facilities and allied services to outside customers by obtaining formal approvals for its upgraded facilities from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka in the future.
