AAC Flight Academy (AACFA) is the oldest operational flying training school in Sri Lanka and is based at the Asian Aviation Centre complex at Colombo Airport, Ratmalana. The ground school activities and the flying training are carried out at the main complex Ratmalana. AACFAoffers training courses leading to Private / Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating under the approval of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.  Additionally, Assistant Flight Instructor Rating courses are conducted with the approval of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, when there is a demand for such courses.

It has trained many local and international students from countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Malaysia, India, Switzerland, Singapore, South Africa, Iran and Maldives. Additionally, in 1998/99, Sri Lanka Air Force selected the AACFA for the training of two intakes of its pilot officer cadets.AACFA has produced Many of the professional pilots produced by the AACFA are employed by the national airlines and other reputed flying organizations.
